Midwestern State is 4-0 vs. the field in the regional tournament. MSU defeated UIW 4-1 on August 31, and 2-0 on October 5, Fort Lewis 3-2 on September 7, and Metro State 4-1 on September 28.

West Texas A&M and Texas A&M-Commerce each earned berths into the 2008 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship South Central Regional. The Lady Buffs will host the first and second rounds and play Washburn on Friday at 1 p.m. with the winner advancing to play Truman on Sunday at 1 p.m. A&M-C, the league's regular season and championship runner-up, plays Nebraska-Omaha on Friday at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg, Mo. The winner faces host Central Missouri on Sunday at 1 p.m.

West Texas A&M defended their Lone Star Conference Championship on Sunday with a 1-0 overtime victory over Texas A&M-Commerce at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas.

After claiming the regular season title, WTAMU won its second consecutive and fifth overall LSC crown in the 99th minute of play. Lindsay McHorse scored the game winner off a pass from Elisabeth Markussen with 32 seconds remaining in the first sudden-victory overtime period.
