Franklin Signs to Play for Lady Buffs in 2011-12 - WTAM Basketball
CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M head women’s basketball coach Krista Gerlich has announced the signing of Paige Franklin (Fort Worth, Texas) to play for the Lady Buffs beginning the 2011-12 season. Franklin will transfer to WTAMU following a two-year stint at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan.
“We are thrilled to have Paige joining our program,” Gerlich said. “She brings a dimension to the point guard position that could take our team to the next level with her speed and pass-first mentality. She has the quickness an ability to get to the rim, which will allow us to set up our shooters and keep our opponents’ defense on their heels.”

She averaged 8.5 points a game and dished out 2.8 assists per contest as well in her final season with the Grizzlies, leading them to a 20-12 record and advancing to the regional semi-finals in the playoffs.
